Dr. Ma is Senior Vice President of R&D at MedAbome, where she is involved in all aspects of antibody discovery, engineering, and validation. She brings over 20 years of experience in the biotechnology industry, spanning therapeutic protein development, antibody optimization, and translational research.

Dr. Ma previously held scientific roles at Dow Chemical Biotech Center/Pfenex Inc. and Novo Nordisk (Beijing), focusing on protein expression systems and biologics optimization. She also has lead the R&D departments of two biotech startups, driving the development of recombinant proteins, biosimilars, and products for research and molecular diagnostics. Additionally, Dr. Ma served as Medical Director in a CRO company specialized in drug clinical trials. 

Dr. Ma began her career as a physician at The Third Hospital of Peking University. She earned her medical degree from Peking University Health Science Center, her Ph.D. in Microbiology and Molecular Genetics from Loma Linda University. She received postdoctoral training in Molecular Biology and Bioinformatics at UCSD.
