Dr. Kewei Zhao has over 30 years of hands-on experience in biochemistry and molecular biology. Prior to joining MedAbome, he served as Assistant Research Professor and Senior Biologist at the VA Medical Center in Los Angeles, where he focused on reseach related to metabolic diseases. Previously, Dr. Zhao was a Research Biochemist in the Department of Biological Chemistry at UCLA, conducting studies on glycosylation for therapeutic applications. He began his scientific career as a Research Assistant in the Pediatrics Laboratory at Ruijin Hospital in Shanghai.  

Dr. Zhao earned his medical degree from Shanghai Second Medical University and his Ph.D. in Neurosciences from UCSD. He completed his postdoctoral research in Biological Chemistry at UCLA Medical School.
